multiple mail providers sync
it would be great to work closely with implementation of the sync capabilities with GMX, Yandex and other email providers. We cannot only use Google. And we don't want.

Disable calendar-auto-schedule on server
Emails created by server when calendar-auto-schedule feature is enabled cause problems for some clients. As clients, at least Thunderbird, does not allow to disable this feature, it would be a good idea to foresee the option to disable this at the server.

Oversight mailing every day (opt in)
Hi, it would be nice have the opportunity to opt in for getting an email every day to the fruux email address that shows all calendar entries for that particular day (as seen on google calendar).

Support address book groups sooner in vCard 3.0 by allowing edits of CATEGORIES field
Many devices and applications support groups in vCard 3.0 today by putting a delimited list of groups into the "CATEGORIES" field of the vCard. If you just had a simple textbox to edit the "CATEGORIES" field in the webapp, then the fruux webapp would work better with existing devices and applications. Even better you could allow filtering of contacts by the delimited items in the "CATEGORIES" field. For ideas look at how it is done with the grouping in the ownCloud demo.

Show sync is in progress on Android App
If you ask Synch Now from the ... menu in Android App, you do not see anything.
Neither that it starts, is in progress or if the synchonisation is done correctly or not.
Auto synchronize is off for me.1 vote -
U.S. Contact Formatting
I see that others have suggested localization and that it's in your plans, so this may be nothing more than a "+1" post. In the U.S., addresses are typically displayed:
123 Main St. (Street Address)
Apt. 45 (Street Address part 2, can live without this)
Mycity, ST 98765 (City, State[Region] PostalCode)It's very disorienting to see the data appear otherwise.

Allow Reordering of Tasks in App and Webapp
It would be great to have the possibility to order tasks by e.g. name. This also would make it possible to simply define groups by adding something lika a # or @ as first letter (e.g. @shopping butter, @shopping milk ....). This idea refers to http://www.digitalistbesser.org/wunderlist-digitale-aufgabenverwaltung-ohne-schnoerkel

Allow the web app to edit existing contact photos
It would be great if the web app allowed you to edit existing contacts' photos (or add them if they don't already have them), and also to be able to add a photo to the fruux account profile.
20 votesThis feature is planned.
For your own “avatar image” we’re using Gravatar. So if you update your image at http://www.gravatar.com it will show up in the fruux webapp.

email validation in contact creation fields
Even a simple email validation would be great, pay attention to new huge tld (@site.engineer, @site.business...) and non-ascii text.
You can also get a free jquery from mailgun.com, which really rocks.
https://github.com/mailgun/validator-demo
It validates everything, domain, format, etc.
It only not check if the full email really exists because most mail servers do not answer to avoid spam probe.

Sample data in new contact fields on web site
If you creat a new contact on the web site, the fields are like this:
First name [ First name ]
Last name [ Last name ]...Would be more useful, specially for those not speaking English, to fill the fields with a sample(s).
First name [ Albert ]
Last name [ Einstein ]...1 vote -

Allow reordering of details within contacts
In the web interface (and ideally mobile interfaces as well), allow reordering of contacts details such as telephone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses.

Android: Make possible to change the list from task detail.
In the task detail, there's a cell where you can see the name of the list in which that task is, but you can't change that. There's a little mark in the right of that name, where you would make that, but it's disabled.

Support address book groups in webapp
There is also no place to look at the contacts who are in one particular group.
It would be very helpful to me, even necessary, to be able to go to fruux.com and select only one group at a time.
75 votesWe’re planning to support this as soon as possible. The problem is that there’s no real standard for groups yet (e.g. Apple uses a special non standard vCard for groups, Mozilla Thunderbird uses a different special vCard – none of those are standardized).
All of that will luckily change with the vCard 4.0 standard, which we plan to support as early as possible. So once CardDAV clients support the new vCard 4.0 standard, we’ll also definitely support that, which will result in cross-platform support for groups.

allow users to set security settings on sync accounts.
I'd love the option to set the security level / username / password on the various secure device syncs.
I reset / reinstall devices regularly and it is now quite cumbersome to setup a new sync because it is impossible to reset/retreive the passwords.

Additional contact card fields and/or allow for custom field generation: phonetic first, last, middle name, hobby, interest, manager, etc
Implement additional fields in the contacts web app. See some ideas within the vCard page on wikipedia and its extensions. Some that I personally like are phonetic pronunciation of first, last and middle names, hobby, interest, etc.
10 votesThanks for your suggestion! This is in fact planned.
Just to clarify: We already support all custom properties you can think of – it’s just our contacts web app that is not showing all of them. If you have clients that support them, we’ll of course sync everything.
