  1. The Dummies tour

    Hi, I am one of those dummies.
    I do not really understand what I can do and how I can do it.

    It would be wonderful if there was a video tour showing me what kind of things I can accomplish with fruux and how .

    This may save many help requesting emails about silly things.

    Right now, fruux is maybe a bit in the “Made by nerds and for nerds” stage. Now that we’ve brought fruux (development-wise) to a state where everything is coming together and as stable as we want it to be, we want to make everything easier and better documented starting next year.

  2. Option: Generate Birthday calender out of the contacts

    There are not many phones out there that are stuck with iOS3 and iOS4 works great with fruux.

    However we’ve still some interest in LDAP – as a way to support more devices/platforms -, but thats (unfortunately) definitely not something we have manpower for at the moment.

  4. add sync for any.do to sync "to do" lists

    any.do is a great "to do" list app for android. Please team up with them to develope a sync solution!

    We’d be quite interested in integration with any.do – unfortunately we’ve never heard back from them. So if you are an any.do user, keep on nagging them about integration with fruux, too.

    As a user you have way more influence than we have.

    We’d love to support Safari bookmarks – unfortunately there is no open standard (yet) to make it happen. Ones there is a way to do it, we’d probably be very interested to make it happen.

  7. Sync with Microsoft Exchange Server

    I would like fruux to sync with my companies Exchange Server. I need to use this for networked email and calender services; It is great when I am on the road!

  8. consider allowing users to change the email address they used to sign up.

    Currently I'm stuck with an email address (=fruux account) that won't exist forever. I'd Ike to change it, but the only way I see at the moment is cancelling the account, sign up again and redo all configurations on all devices.

  14. Add capability to sync with Yahoo Mail contacts

    I really have issues with my iPhone getting out of sync with Yahoo Mail contacts. I also end up with multiple versions of the same contact (sometimes 10 or 20 of the same person).

  15. Have an archive of addresses in the CardDav account

    Found out the hard way that Apple Time Machine doesn't archive any of the CardDAV addresses. Would be good if fruux could archive snapshots of these so that they are not lost is they are accidentally deleted or lost for the CardDAV account!

    We’re already versioning objects, so you basically already have that functionality. However it’s not yet accessible via the webapp, but we plan to provide it as a feature in the future.

  16. Archive of completed instances of recurring events for post-analysis

    I'd like to be able to do data mining on the duration of previously completed instances of things that are prospectively going to last only one hour every week (but in reality last longer).

    How do I get to event archives ? Is there any way in Fruux to decouple prospective duration and reoccurrence from the past real duration of completed occurrences?)

    It’s planned to provide localized versions of fruux, but we want ship some additional features first, before we’ll start working on localization. We know that a localized experience is important. It’s definitely on our todo list.

  18. Add a widget that allows me to put an always up-to-date vCard on my website.

    It would be great if I could put some kind of widget on my website that allows visitors of my site to download an always automatically updated vCard. You could simply use the card that I marked as "my card" in Addressbook on my Mac.

    In addition to that it would be great if I could mark certain parts of my vCard as private so that they are not exposed via this proposed widget.
