Control each device's access levels to contacts/calendar/tasks from within the Dashboard
For example, to share your calendar with multiple Fruux members (e.g. family and friends) and allow them to read and write to the calendar, without giving them access to your private contacts.
1 voteAlready possible. When you share a specific calendar with another user you can choose read-only or read-write permissions. If you don’t explicitly also share an addressbook, they won’t have access to the contacts.

Allow payment by something other than credit card
I don't have a credit card and don't even know anyone who does.
6 votesWe support SEPA Lastschrift, sadly it’s a slightly manual process and you have to send us an email so we can set it up for you.

Choose between the 12am/pm and 24hours view in Calendar
Hi, it would be nice to have the possibility to choose and switch between the 12am/pm and 24hours view: for me as European user is pretty unusual and confusing to use the am/pm view.
18 votesWe’ve added a settings menu for this:

Geht also schon. :)

allow payment with paypal or mastercard..we are in 2017...
1 voteWe already support Mastercard since a really long time. We supported PayPal in the past, but do no longer because their API is an abomination, their developer docs are always outdated and we don’t agree with how they do business (e.g. see “Criticism” section on the PayPal Wikipedia article).

CalDAV read-only access to public calendars
Please provide a CalDAV read-only, no-password access to public calendars (those published to https://fruux.com/calendars/public/… urls). So that they become accessible by everybody through softwares supporting CalDAV, not only using a browser.
Or, if you prefer, make the CalDAV access restricted to fruux users (using their login or a specific credentials as for other calendars). I don’t mind.
The point is to enable CalDAV access to calendars that are public (whose public url the user knows), not only to calendars the user owns or that have been shared with the user. Currently I have, somewhat absurdly, to specifically "share" an already…
2 votesThat is already possible, public calendars provide an iCalendar feed that can be added to any calendar app that supports iCalendar feeds (which is most of them).
A CalDAV share on the other hand though is (unlike a public calendar) always with a specific person. But you can of course also share calendars with other users in read-only mode.
If you are having problems with the different sharing concepts, this FAQ is probably a good starting point:

correct the grammar
The phrase 'Now it's your friends turn.' should read "Now it's your friend's turn."
1 voteIndeed (https://twitter.com/iowahawkblog/status/594168269759623168)! :-)
Thanks! Will be fixed with our next deploy.

Update the fruux Blog
There have been no updates for over 6 months. Is the project still alive and going strong, or has development ended?
6 votesAlive and kicking, we just didn’t get around to blog, but you can follow us on Twitter for more up2date news and especially follow the work on our technology on GitHub: https://github.com/fruux

Calender colors
Please give us more colors to the calenders.
1 voteWe already support every possible color you can think of, you just have to set up a calendar client (i.e. iCal) and change the color there. The web app will support it to, it just does not allow setting colors beyond our basic color palette.

attach text/plain with morning emails
The morning calendar emails are lovely, but since they do not include a text/plain attachment I cannot read it on all of my mail clients (specially mutt). This is a vote for adding a simple text/plain attachment with the same information, laid out nicely of course.
6 votesThanks for the suggestion. This has been added.

Start date & due date in tasks
I would like to have a start date and due date option in tasks.
Thank you,

New events created on date clicked on
Rather than clicking on 'new event' and then typing in a date, the ability to click on a date and have a dialogue pop up from there to create an event for that date, would make the process smoother.
4 votesWe’ve added this – among other features – recently:

Native Notifications (on devices)
Any calendar entry should provide the possibility of being reminded. Instead of an email I would suggest to use the notification mechanism provided by the iOS/Android calendar apps. I think that most of the users will sync their calendar with a mobile device. An email is not the right medium for instant reminders in my eyes.
3 votesWe already fully support this since fruux exists. Once you set up your Mac/iOS (or any other supported device: https://fruux.com/supported-devices/) the calendar (and todo-list on devices that have a todo-list app) will just use to local notification system of the device.

Anniversary and Other Dates
In Contacts, is there a possibility of having more dates available for a contact? I would like to use fruux as my full contacts database - so I would like to include anniversaries and death anniversaries too.
3 votesWe’re not limiting the amount of dates in a contact. If you e.g. sync your Mac with fruux, you’ll be able to add as many dates (including custom labels) as you like to a contact.

the 'today' button
It's not really new, but I use the 'today' button on the ical calendar a lot while jumping around. It would be a nice extra on your online calendar?

Publish the Android app somewhere else than the Google Play Store
On other app repositories or with a direct link to the apk.
What's the point of a Google opt-out if you need the Google Play store to download the app ?
15 votesHere’s an alternative to the Google Play Store:

Add "BBM" to list of chat services
In the web app for editing contacts there is a list of chat services such as AIM, ICQ, and Skype. Please would you add BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to that list?
BBM users each have a unique PIN which I would like to store with a contact in Fruux.
Thanks, David
8 votesWe support that in the “Social Profiles” section (when you edit a card here https://fruux.com/contacts).
