Support repeatable tasks / recurring events in webapp
One of my favorite features of Mozilla Thunderbird is the ability to create repeating tasks. I haven't tested to see if a repeating task in Thunderbird will work with the fruux app for Android, but I certainly would love the ability to create a repeating task from the fruux app!!!
Repeatable tasks and alarms are fully supported, it’s just our webapp thats still lacking a bit in that regard. Adding this functionality to our webapp is of course planned.

Looks like this isn't a huge priority, I just started my account in 2020 and this is from 2013. Is this actually going to come to fruition?

I just downloaded your Android app, and it doesn't seem to support repeatable tasks.

Not yet supported in the webapp sadly, but fully supported with any proper calendar app that syncs with fruux: https://fruux.com/supported-devices/

I cannot figure out how to set recurring events or tasks on the webapp. Please tell us how to do this. I would like to set a recurring event to happen bi-weekly for the entire year but I am not seeing how to do this in events or the task section. Am I missing something?

Hello,
Has this been updated in the webapp (for repeat/recurring events/calendar entries?) Am I missing the repeat/recurring events option in the webapp - as I can find/see it when entering a new appointment/calendar entry.
This was planned since 2014?
Many thanks!

How do you do recurring events in the calendar?

@fruux:
What's the status on this feature? You said over a year ago that it was planned; do you guys have some kind of roadmap available?Pretty keen to see this implemented - it's the main reason I'm not already widely using Fruux.

Come on guys, in the web interface you have control. We are primarily using the web interface as to manage data we don't trust sync that match and use a lot of different devices. Please don't make us dependent on the devices.

@Michael:
Many clients don't support recurring tasks. Apple Reminders for example (which is a quite feature-rich CalDAV client also doesn't really comply with the CalDAV/iCalendar specs there).Our basic accounts are of course not limited whatsoever in this regard. The only limitation they have is the number of devices you can sync and the number of calendars/addressbooks/tasks lists you are able to share with others.
Please let's keep this thread 'clean' (this is our feature request & ideas system) and use our support for actual support questions. :-) Just email us any time via support (at) fruux (dot) com. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
I am also glad that the synchronization between the client (eM Client) works full.
In the app I find, however, no possibility of a serial task or a reminder to enter.
For testing I still use currently a basic account. Can this be the reason that I can not use the functions in the app. regards Michael -
