Server to Server Syncing
....meaning that fruux can be configured to function itself as a device vis-a-vis other sync services (e.g. OwnCloud).
This would allow the user to (a) have copies of his contacts and calendars on two different platforms of his/her choice for back-up purposes and (b) choose for every device with which of the two services and the corresponding settings he/she wants to sync any given device.
The advantage would be (a) a permanent backup and (b) more degrees of freedom for the syncing setup with other devices and/or individuals.

That is actually planned. We already support it for Google Contacts, but we also plan to support generic CardDAV/CalDAV “client-mode” in the future.

A great service to add would be Outlook.com/Microsoft 365. Being able to access my Outlook calendar and contacts via CalDAV/CardDAV would be invaluable - and appears to be a common want that MSFT doesn't appear to be willing to address

Development hasn't started (besides the Google Contacts sync feature, which we pulled due to the abysmal quality of the Google CardDAV API).
We are still very interested in this feature and are currently thinking about something that might even be a little independent from the main fruux product and do server to server syncing, backups and maybe a few other things that could work with fruux, but also with other providers.
We're planning to do a mailing about this in a little while.

This would be awesome!!! I really need this feature. My wife is with another provider than me and we are searching a possibility to sync automatically two different server with another.

Are there any plans to introduce this feature with iCloud?
