I see that others have suggested localization and that it's in your plans, so this may be nothing more than a "+1" post. In the U.S., addresses are typically displayed:
123 Main St. (Street Address)
Apt. 45 (Street Address part 2, can live without this)
Mycity, ST 98765 (City, State[Region] PostalCode)
It's very disorienting to see the data appear otherwise.1 vote
It would be great to have the possibility to order tasks by e.g. name. This also would make it possible to simply define groups by adding something lika a # or @ as first letter (e.g. @shopping butter, @shopping milk ....). It would be great if the web app allowed you to edit existing contacts' photos (or add them if they don't already have them), and also to be able to add a photo to the fruux account profile.20 votes
This feature is planned.
For your own “avatar image” we’re using Gravatar. So if you update your image at http://www.gravatar.com it will show up in the fruux webapp.
Even a simple email validation would be great, pay attention to new huge tld (@site.engineer, @site.business...) and non-ascii text.
You can also get a free jquery from mailgun.com, which really rocks.
It validates everything, domain, format, etc.
It only not check if the full email really exists because most mail servers do not answer to avoid spam probe.1 vote
If you creat a new contact on the web site, the fields are like this:
First name [ First name ]
Last name [ Last name ]...
Would be more useful, specially for those not speaking English, to fill the fields with a sample(s).
First name [ Albert ]
Last name [ Einstein ]...1 vote
I have multiple address books and calendars setup. It is really useful to be able to selectively choose which ones are synced to a mobile device.
The Fruux Android app allows selection of calendars but not address books. Maybe it would be easier to configure this through the web interface than the app?
Or perhaps selective support for syncing of groups within an address book?14 votes
When integrating with different external services it would be great to identify the source service (e.g in a given contact)2 votes
In the web interface (and ideally mobile interfaces as well), allow reordering of contacts details such as telephone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses.6 votes
The Team Edition plan might be a very good Solution for my Wohle family.
But pricing for team Edition is Way too much for family use..
Good compromise Fouls be 1.5 times the single user price plan18 votes
This is planned. Meanwhile, please just get in touch via http://support.fruux.com and we’ll see what we can do. :)
In the task detail, there's a cell where you can see the name of the list in which that task is, but you can't change that. There's a little mark in the right of that name, where you would make that, but it's disabled.4 votes
Interested in implementing your resource at a newsroom. But need Russian version. Also, can help your team with translation. Thank you.6 votes
Localizations are planned. Can you send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us a bit more about the implementation you have in mind?
There is also no place to look at the contacts who are in one particular group.
It would be very helpful to me, even necessary, to be able to go to fruux.com and select only one group at a time.75 votes
We’re planning to support this as soon as possible. The problem is that there’s no real standard for groups yet (e.g. Apple uses a special non standard vCard for groups, Mozilla Thunderbird uses a different special vCard – none of those are standardized).
All of that will luckily change with the vCard 4.0 standard, which we plan to support as early as possible. So once CardDAV clients support the new vCard 4.0 standard, we’ll also definitely support that, which will result in cross-platform support for groups.
I'd love the option to set the security level / username / password on the various secure device syncs.
I reset / reinstall devices regularly and it is now quite cumbersome to setup a new sync because it is impossible to reset/retreive the passwords.0 votes
It would be *awesome* if you could support periodic syncing of profile pictures for the Addressbook from Gravatar.
The only issue I can see is which picture would you use if it's synced from Gravatar and then the user changes the picture of the contact on their phone and then it get's changed on Gravatar again? Maybe only sync profile pictures from Gravatar on contacts which have no pictures? Or just last update wins, always.

This is definitely interesting, we’ll have to investigate if the Gravatar terms actually allow us to do that though.
Additional contact card fields and/or allow for custom field generation: phonetic first, last, middle name, hobby, interest, manager, etc
Implement additional fields in the contacts web app. See some ideas within the vCard page on wikipedia and its extensions. Some that I personally like are phonetic pronunciation of first, last and middle names, hobby, interest, etc.10 votes
Thanks for your suggestion! This is in fact planned.
Just to clarify: We already support all custom properties you can think of – it’s just our contacts web app that is not showing all of them. If you have clients that support them, we’ll of course sync everything.
Plaxo had a great interface to identify and then manually merge duplicate contacts. It would present the offending contacts and visually mark which entries would be present in the "merged" card. With Google Contacts sync coming (I'm suffering from many duplicate contacts as a result), it would be great to have this.44 votes
We plan to provide such functionality in the future.
In the meantime: If you are using a Mac, the Addressbook application has a built-in deduplication function that could help here.
Please make sync with WP8 able.
After this Support i will go to pro.
Microsoft ‘secretly’ already supports CardDAV/CalDAV in their latest Windows Phone versions. There is a workaround to set it up:
Similar to Google Calendar, each Calendar should provide the option to configure a default notifications for all events created using that calendar.3 votes
Use the Contact Request Form feature to send out a secure link to family, friends, colleagues or other contacts. They click the link, fill out the simple form, and the address book gets populated with up-to-date contact info.2 votes
Currently I use Godaddy Calendar and would like to be able to have it fully sync so I can use fruux to manage it.3 votes
