Sort by last name
I find it odd that there's no obvious way to sort contacts by last name

Integrate with Marckcircle's Daylite
We need a way to work with data that is held in Daylite on Android phones. Currently there is no easy way and Daylite has refused.
http://marketcircle.com/daylite/6 votesMarketcircle implemented support for CalDAV/CardDAV in Daylite 4. Unfortunately only in the server version. But it might make sense to send them a feature request and ask wether or not it’s planned to support external CardDAV/CalDAV services/integrate with fruux.

Get involved with CalConnect
CalConnect is The Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium and I would think you would want to get involved with us. We work on the evolution of the standards, do interoperability testing, and generally forward calendaring and schedulilng. Check out http://www.calconnect.org for more information or I'd be happy to exchange e-mails or set up a call if you would like to chat.

Allow selecting/deselecting address books for contact web app
Hadn't logged into the Fruux website in a while. I was happy to see the contacts web app!
It would be a nice feature to be able to select which address books to show within the web app. I have a couple of address books. One is strictly a list of email address that are used to be able to show images in my mail client. These would never be manually changed.
Being able to deselect this address book would be a great help and limit the number of contacts showing up in the app.

One-click backup of a calendar
It would be great to be able to download a calendar as a single zip/archive file (similar to the download all option on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=212802592074644 ) for backup purposes.

1) Go to https://fruux.com/calendars
2) Click on the “cogwheel” Icon next to a calendar
3) Click “Download .ics” -
New events created on date clicked on
Rather than clicking on 'new event' and then typing in a date, the ability to click on a date and have a dialogue pop up from there to create an event for that date, would make the process smoother.

Send me a cake for my birthday
On my birthday (May 4th), send me a cake. I am not picky. I like chocolate cakes, ice cream cake, vanilla cake, strawberry shortcake, bundt cake (Fruux is developed in Germany - you must have access to some fine bundt cakes there), etc..
Pies, tarts, cookies, and other delicious treats would work as well.
Seriously, though, I am so pleased to have found Fruux. It offers everything I've been looking for as a replacement for MobileMe: reliability, simplicity, fully featured, and secure. I will happily sign up for your paid plan, and, once I've used it for a month or…3 votes;-)
Referral feature has been implemented a while back.

Anniversary and Other Dates
In Contacts, is there a possibility of having more dates available for a contact? I would like to use fruux as my full contacts database - so I would like to include anniversaries and death anniversaries too.
3 votesWe’re not limiting the amount of dates in a contact. If you e.g. sync your Mac with fruux, you’ll be able to add as many dates (including custom labels) as you like to a contact.

Online Management console for contacts
it would be very useful to have a console to actually see the details of the stored contacts, calendar items and tasks, so they can be edited online as well.

Donation box
Hi guys, as I am not using your app that much I see no need to go pro[i also have only one device and not 10] but I think it is nice to be able to donate something.
Have a donation option for those who wish to thank you.
cheers3 votesAs a commercial operation we can’t really accept donations, but we have something better – a while back we started our “Referral program”. Instead of paying, just keep an open eye for people we could help, too and invite them to fruux – you’ll even get additional free shares for each successful invite! :)

Native Notifications (on devices)
Any calendar entry should provide the possibility of being reminded. Instead of an email I would suggest to use the notification mechanism provided by the iOS/Android calendar apps. I think that most of the users will sync their calendar with a mobile device. An email is not the right medium for instant reminders in my eyes.
3 votesWe already fully support this since fruux exists. Once you set up your Mac/iOS (or any other supported device: https://fruux.com/supported-devices/) the calendar (and todo-list on devices that have a todo-list app) will just use to local notification system of the device.

the 'today' button
It's not really new, but I use the 'today' button on the ical calendar a lot while jumping around. It would be a nice extra on your online calendar?

Please, more than 3 devices! I will pay for that upgrade;)!
3 devices is not enough.....
3 votesWe’re not strictly enforcing the device limit at the moment. Right now it’s more like a fair use policy to catch special cases (like a company syncing tons of employees).
There is no problem in setting up some more devices and we’ll make sure that our pro accounts are rolled out before we’ll start to actively enforce the device limit. So just go ahead and setup more devices. :-)
Once we have our pro plans, we’d of course love to convince you to support us (we’re a small business, so every paid customer means the world to us) and move to pro.

CalDAV read-only access to public calendars
Please provide a CalDAV read-only, no-password access to public calendars (those published to https://fruux.com/calendars/public/… urls). So that they become accessible by everybody through softwares supporting CalDAV, not only using a browser.
Or, if you prefer, make the CalDAV access restricted to fruux users (using their login or a specific credentials as for other calendars). I don’t mind.
The point is to enable CalDAV access to calendars that are public (whose public url the user knows), not only to calendars the user owns or that have been shared with the user. Currently I have, somewhat absurdly, to specifically "share" an already…
2 votesThat is already possible, public calendars provide an iCalendar feed that can be added to any calendar app that supports iCalendar feeds (which is most of them).
A CalDAV share on the other hand though is (unlike a public calendar) always with a specific person. But you can of course also share calendars with other users in read-only mode.
If you are having problems with the different sharing concepts, this FAQ is probably a good starting point:
