Add a version history feature to Calendar and Adressbook data.
For me it is very important to preserve my Data. I live currently always in the danger to accidentally delete some of my data because of my own fault or by a software or synchronization error. If I sync my calendar across several devices using your or a similar service and delete 1 entry at the first device it gets automatically deleted at the second and vice versa.
The same goes to loosing partial data. If I edit a text field and the client…16 votesWe already do versioned backups under the hood (think of it as Time Machine or git for contacts/calendars/tasks). A web frontend to also make this functionality available to our users is planned. Unfortunately no ETA yet.

support for attachments
We want to move from our own hosted calendar/reminders/contacts server (OSX10.8 server) to your system. It seems you have decided to remove a fundamental feature that we use seldom, but is important: attach a file to an event.
Example a hotel reservation: wherever a link does not do it, we attach a pdf to the event so that we can see it on phone or laptop when traveling.16 votesWe haven’t removed this feature. It’s just not added yet. CalDAV consists of dozens of extensions. So called “managed attachments” are one of them.
As of now it’s not a standard yet – it’s just a work in progress draft that Apple already implemented.
We plan to add support for managed attachments, too. But because we are dedicated to open standards we have to do it properly and not only hack it in there to support just one vendor. So this will take some time for the feature to evolve to a solid standard. We definitely have an eye on it.

Download all data to create a backup in a zip file
A simple dowload of all information stored. The .ics, .vcf and .ics task files in one .zip file. This would permit users to have a clear and easy interface for creating a backup of data/account information.

integrate subscribsion of web calendars
if you could add the option for a subscription option to webcal calendars, in the web version of fruxx calendar you could do it cross-platform. It is implemented in the iOS version since 2013 its time to change it.

consider allowing users to change the email address they used to sign up.
Currently I'm stuck with an email address (=fruux account) that won't exist forever. I'd Ike to change it, but the only way I see at the moment is cancelling the account, sign up again and redo all configurations on all devices.

Google calendar import
I would like to import everthing from my Google Calendar to Fruux. While syncing with Google is currently very demanded topic, I think integrating "import tool" would be easier and I would want it more. :)

Add LDAP support
Would help iOS versions without CalDAV support.
15 votesThere are not many phones out there that are stuck with iOS3 and iOS4 works great with fruux.
However we’ve still some interest in LDAP – as a way to support more devices/platforms -, but thats (unfortunately) definitely not something we have manpower for at the moment.

Send calendar invitations from the user's e-mail address, not cloud@fruux.com
Currently when I invite a non-fruux user to a calender event the invitation comes with:
From: <User's Name> (via fruux) cloud@fruux.com
It would be much nicer to be "From:" my real e-mail address.
I believe this "From: ... cloud@fruux.com" was due to mis-interpretation of SPF. SPF matches the envelope sender's domain (typically in the "From " header -- note the lack of colon after that -- it's usually the first header in an SMTP delivered message), not the author's (who is in the From: -- with a colon) domain.
You should have no problem sending e-mails with a From:…

Allow Reordering of Tasks in App and Webapp
It would be great to have the possibility to order tasks by e.g. name. This also would make it possible to simply define groups by adding something lika a # or @ as first letter (e.g. @shopping butter, @shopping milk ....). Offer a 'keep me logged in' check box to extend session on trusted devices
The Fruux web interface is really great! I want to use it more but find that I have to log in on a regular basis since the login session is very short.
I'd like the option to have a longer session (2 weeks?) if I choose to 'keep me logged in' on a trusted device.

Search function
A search function for events in the list view would be very useful. There are two main use cases for this:
1) Let's say I cannot remember when exactly a certain event happened or is planned,e.g. "Appointment at the garage to check car". With a search feature, one would just type "car" in the search box and all events with the keyword "car" are displayed in the events list.
2) I have an event which reoccurs on a not so regular basis, e.g. "Concert with my choir". So I could type "choir" and would get a list of all event…

i could convince or at last inform more potential users if they could set the interface to german

And: Once you have fruux setup on your machine, you’ll have your localized apps as usual anyway.

Add a widget that allows me to put an always up-to-date vCard on my website.
It would be great if I could put some kind of widget on my website that allows visitors of my site to download an always automatically updated vCard. You could simply use the card that I marked as "my card" in Addressbook on my Mac.
In addition to that it would be great if I could mark certain parts of my vCard as private so that they are not exposed via this proposed widget.

Support for WebDAV / OmniPresence
OmniGroup has just published their new service OmniPresence which just syncs files via WebDAV. Would be great if I could not only sync contacts and calendars, but also the files of my OmniGroup apps via fruux.

Improve Thunderbird integration using automatic addressbook data sync
The Sogo Connector add-on by Inverse works OK if I add contact info via Thunderbird locally. But, if I step out for lunch and add a contact using my phone, after lunch to refresh the email addressbook data in Thunderbird it is necessary to shut down the app and relaunch it. Perhaps fruux could work with Inverse to make this data update happen automatically. Or, if not, at least have them put a button in the Thunderbird Add-on Manager so addressbook data can be resynced manually.
